plants produce their food by photosynthesis
Plants need water (H20) and carbon dioxide (CO2) in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll to produce glucose (C6 H12 O6) for energy.
There are many names for the food that plants produce. Because there are many foods that plants produce. Apples. Oranges. Bananas. Corn. Pinto Beans. Potatoes. Jalapeno Peppers. The list goes on and on.

The energy source is the sun. Plants use solar energy to produce the foods they need for growth. Animals feed on the plants or feed on animals that eat plants.
Photosynthesis is the root source of all foods on Earth. Amongst all organisms inhabiting Earth, plants are the only ones which are able to produce their own foods through photosynthesis. Without photosynthesis, plants would die as they can't produce foods for themselves. When plants die, animals that eat plants will also die as they lose their food source. Subsequently, other animals which eat these plant-eating animals will also die as they, too, lose their food source. Eventually, every organism will die from starvation.
Many foods comr from plants. Fruits, vegetables, and grain all come from plants.

i think plants can respond. but small amount of sunlight may cause to slow growing of the plant because it may not produce a large amount o foods that they need to be stong and i think plants will be malnourish. :)
