You would need to eat more than half of your body weight in magic mushrooms to physically overdose on them, so that is physically impossible.
On the other side, it is very well possible to psychologically overdose on them, and have a trip that is far from pleasant and really overwhelming. Some people are looking for that kind of disturbing experiences and will consciously ingest lots of mushrooms, but most people are simply not ready for this.
If you want to explore your psyche, you will be able to increase the dose slowly as you gain experience. Test your response to each dose, and stop when it's too much. Don't push yourself to insanity.

∙ 7y agoIf you mean "shrooms" as slang for hallucinogenic mushrooms, they are intoxicating, but not poisonous when taken within reasonable doses. The chances of accidental overdose resulting in death are low since they taste unpleasant, may induce vomiting, and it would take over 7 pounds to be fatal.
If you mean "shrooms" as short for mushrooms in general, then it depends on the species. Most are indeed poisonous.
