i have a 1968 polara 4 door with a 318 v8 and it's automatic 4 speed and i cant find any information about the polara models in this year. it seems to be very rare i think its one of the best looking years. mine is flat black with new white walls and its been lowered a few inches to give it a custom stance. i would love to be able to find more out about its restorable value or who has them.
try e-bay, craigslist or a local swap meet.
The '68 Polara is considered a C body car.

They are pretty rare but they made a lot of Chargers back in 1968, totaling 92,470 units. Of those Dodge made 2,743 Charger R/T's with a 440 and a 4-speed. The total quantities of Charger R/T's made in 1968 were 17,584, including 211 examples with a 426 Hemi and a 4-speed.
I believe it was the A-914 tranny.
The technical data of the engine of the 1968/1969 Dodge 100 pickup includes an engine capacity of 5.2 liters and a V8 cylinder. It also had a 3-speed manual transmission and a maximum speed of approximately 60 mph.
$3,100 to $3,300
151 km/h (94 mph)
what car can i pull a 5 or 6 speed transmission from to put in my 1968 camaro? I have a 700r4 in it now and would like a Manuel in it. THANKS!!
According to the November 1967v Car and Driver magazine the top speed of the 1968 Charger R/T was 156 miles per hour
Definitively it is a Dodge Charger 1966. The first Dodge Charger was the 1964 show car, based on the Polara and fitted with a 426 Wedge engine. The Charger body was based on the Coronet, but with a fastback roofline and unique (if similar) front clip that resembled the Coronet, but had retractable headlights, giving the car a sporty look.
