Not rare and not a mint product. It's a novelty item made by a private company that took ordinary 1976 cents and counterstamped them with Kennedy's picture. They're considered to be altered coins with no numismatic value.
Carloads were made for the Bicentennial and sold as "instant collectibles" but the market fell apart as soon as the Bicentennial celebrations ended, so you're unlikely to find buyers even among collectors of novelty items.
A 1978 Lincoln-Kennedy penny is not considered rare or valuable to collectors and is typically worth face value. A 1946 wheat penny in circulated condition is worth around 10-20 cents, while one in uncirculated condition could be worth a few dollars.
no but a 1934 lincoln penny costs a million so thats rare
Yes.
1988 Lincoln cents are not rare. It's just a penny, spend it.
No, this is not a rare date for Lincoln cents. These coins can easily be found in circulation.
1934 is not a rare date for Lincoln Cents.
Are you sure it's not Kennedy and Lincoln? These usually sell for about a dollar if it is still glued to the card that lists the "amazing similarities" between these two assassinated Presidents. If it really is Edison, you probably have the only one, but that doesn't make it valuable. It's just another penny counterstamped by a novelty company.
A 1919 Lincoln cent is not rare or even scarce. Average circulated coins are worth about 10 cents.
It's worth about 3 cents. It's old, but not rare or valuable.
These are ordinary Lincoln Cents that a private company stamped with a rather crude portrait of John Kennedy. They were sold for about $1 glued to a card that listed several "amazing" similarities between the two assassinated Presidents. Like Lincoln was shot in the Ford Theater and Kennedy in a car built by the Ford Motor Co (a Lincoln). Kennedy had a secretary named Lincoln and Lincoln had a secretary named Kennedy. About the only similarity listed that is 100% accurate is that both were succeeded by a Vice President named Johnson. A 1921 Lincoln cent is not considered rare or even scarce. But, pre-1934 Lincolns are getting a little hard to find.
Regardless of date or mintmark it is not rare, but it could be worth a little more depending on what caused the dot? Take it to a dealer for an assessment.
