Need to know what year the truck in question is.
Yes and no, the new ones are not as reliable as the older ones were in their prime.

for small pick-ups, Ford Ranger has a good reputation for reliability. Mazda makes the same truck. There is no one most reliable truck. Every truck is different depeding on how it is/was treated. Almost any truck is reliable as long as you take care of it. I own a 1994 Chevrolet C1500 Cheyenne that has had no unnatural problems ever. Every truck is bound to need new tires, new oil, new gas pump (eventually)...etc. But if you take good care of a truck, it will not let you down! Sometimes trucks have design flaws (very rare), but almost any truck will do.
Does the truck smoke? if it does you dont need a new motor all you need is new O rings and a piston rod
it onley does that because its a Chevy but u should try new plugs
There are lots of truck dealers in New Jersey. The best advice I can give you is to decide what kind of truck you are looking for. Then choose a dealer that deals with that make such a GM or Chevy.
you need a new e.c.m. located above glovebox
5 qts. with a new filter.
you can not turn off the governor you can have a new computer chip installed in the ecm and the truck will go alittle faster
