They were not taught that the poor were horrible, disgusting animals, but there was always the risk of disease from the poor..On the plus side many philanthropic institutions were started in the UK during this time, such as The Salvation Army and Dr.Barnados, also many other minor charities and hospitals

They'd play with Rocking Horse's, and those things with the cup and string attached with a ball on the end. Sorry I can't remember what they are called. They would also play with metal hoola-hoops with a stick attached and make it go. Go on
