Oil Rigs are supposedly dangerous -
According to my dads friend when he worked there once in a while the iraqis would shoot at the rigs and you would have to go to a small metal cell and lock the door until you stopped hearing ak47 bullets passing, and he said the Iraqi army were the ones protecting it and that the rig workers had no weapon training.
But on the up side pay on an oil rig can exceed £1000 a day.
I've heard working in safer parts of Iraq in jobs not in the oil sector is pretty safe though.
