its made by pressed or forged for the fittings that fix the tube together,the tube is made from moulten flat metal now galvanised of different strengths depending where in the world it was made then cut rolled if you get the chance look inside a tube you can see the joint the longest being 21' down to whatever you need and tube coming from India is lighter cheaper but also weaker than made in UK,the boards are classed as 2nd grade timber and would sawn on belt drive saws to whaterever the size you require longest 13' x 1" depth x9" width on kwik stage scaffolding the boards are 8'- 6' - 4' x 3" and they would be what we call banded on the ends to help stop splitting there are also bands that go across the width of boards to repair or strengthen.
