While fruits and vegetables are indeed an essential part of our nutrition, they can be quite costly. Unfortunately for most schools and their students, saving money often comes before improving the health of their students. One solution would be to pack some vegetables and fruit in your backpack and bring them to school with you to eat with your lunch to supplement what your school provides you.

Individuals who resist or delay the urge to move their bowels at their body's signal may end up with constipation. This often happens when children start school or enter daycare and feel shy about asking permission to use the bathroom. In addition, the failure to eat fruits and vegetables and other fibers regularly may result in the issue. Suggest an apple a day for school children to avoid the problem.
Children should never be put on an official diet. It is perfectly alright to encourage healthy eating and exercise, but kids shouldn't be told they are "on a diet". Substitute unhealthy snacks and sugary drinks for fruits, vegetables and fruit juices. Get kids outside and being active instead of sitting in front of a TV or computer after school.
Parents are encouraged to provide wholesome snacks, a sandwich with sliced meat or cheese, fruits or vegetables, and avoid sweets.
Why children should eat more fruits and vegetables for better health. Why kids should read books regularly to improve their imagination and vocabulary. Why it's important to recycle and take care of the environment for a better future. Why children should spend more time playing outside to stay active and socialize with friends.
Try choosing the healthy choices that are available. Add some fruits and/or veggies to your tray. Pick healthy drinks- not sodas and high sugar juices.
