An artery in the body is like the highway where veins are the main street's. In an artery there is much more volume of blood being moved at a faster speed. It carries more blood because it is bigger then a vein. If you cut a vein the volume of blood loss would be less because of the size limiting the flow. If the femoral artery was cut the blood loss would come out much faster and be much more serious. You could expel all of your blood in a matter of minutes before a life squad could get to the scene.
how will blood flow out in case an artery is cut
Dorsalis pedis artery
the common foot pulse locations are as follows, the posterior tibial artery and the dorsalis pedia artery (or pedal artery)
The artery is called dorsalis pedis artery
It depends on the severity of the cut. If you cut an artery, you are more likely to die, or at least more quickly.
Yes it is serious.
In the human, the dorsalis pedis artery is the blood vessel carrying oxygen to the dorsal or upper surface of the foot. To feel or palpate the dorsalis pedis pulse, place the fingers mid foot where the ankle meets the foot. Dorsiflexion (toes up - not pointed down) increases the chances of feeling this pulse.
Carotid artery occlusion blockage means that there is complete blockage of the artery. This is very serious, as complete blockage of the artery can cause a stroke.
One foot. And if you did not know that you are in serious trouble! One foot. And if you did not know that you are in serious trouble! One foot. And if you did not know that you are in serious trouble! One foot. And if you did not know that you are in serious trouble!
Why would you want to do that. You would have to cut open the heart and watch the blood move from the pulmonary artery through the heart and into the right radial artery.
If the carotid artery is cut or severed it will cause death pretty quickly if the person does not receive medical attention quickly. You probably have minutes to live if the wound is deep enough.
