It's their son that should tell them. If he does not acknowledge the pregnancy you can always write them a letter and explain this. When you have a baby you don't just become a parent, there are people who also become grandparents. Even if their son is not interested, his parents might be. But give the dad a chance to tell first since it's his parents.
