should be located on the thermostat housing like most cars. i have also seen them located on the front side of the radiator it should be cliped on the radiator.
well what size rims does your Forester have? if it has the same size then it should fit.
I just took a quick look at the Subaru Web site, which is where you should go. I see no such vehicle as a "Forester Sti". With that in mind, no, it does not "come in automatic."

P0328 on an OBD11 equipped automobile (everything since 1996) is a knock sensor code. I believe that it says the reading is over the high limit. You should focus on the knock sensor and the wiring leading to it. --Ken
