When should a tree be planted?
I read that a tree should be planted in late winter. It said that trees "sleep" in autumn and winter. A young tree will be asleep and by the time spring and summer rolls around, it will be ready to grow versus being planted in fall when it is asleep and has to face harsh weather. Hope this is right and helpful!!!!

When should one plant snowdrops in the garden?
Snowdrops are the first flowers to show their bloom after the cold winter. They are sold in-the-green by specialist nurseries so they are immediately planted. They need sunlight to grow but more of it damages them. Snowdrops should be planted in the fall, or in late spring as well. Their bloom period is in the late winter and early spring.

Is winter flour weaker than summer flour?
The variation in strengh is minimal; winter flour means that the wheat plants are planted in the winter and harvested in the summer. Whereas summer flour is planted in the summer but harvested in the winter. This means that both crops get a similar amount of time in the sun, so flour strengh is not significantly affected.

Are fruit trees planted in the spring or fall?
In the temperate parts of Australia, we plant fruit trees in the winter months of June to August for most, although almonds should be planted earlier. This would apply to most Southern Hemisphere areas where the winters are mild and the climate not tropical. In the mid west (Michigan) we plant in the fall. There is less heat and water stress. In northern hemisphere in late winter before buds open, when the tree is planted on bare roots.
