To produce greater storage of electrons and more capacitance capacitors should?

be connected in parallel

What are uses of series and parallel capacitor combination?

Capacitors may be connected in series to provide a capacitance with an effective working voltage higher than that of any of the individual units, (but the effective capacitance is less than that of any individual.) Capacitors may be connected in parallel to provide an effective capacitance value greater than that of any of the individual units, (but working voltage is equal to the lowest among the individuals).

What does electrolytic capacitor do?

The same thing as any other capacitor does (i.e. oppose changes in the voltage across it) except:it has much greater capacitance per volume than other capacitorshas higher leakage current than other capacitorsis polarized when all other capacitors are unpolarized

Why seres capacitors are used in transmission lines?

A poor power factor (due to large reactive loads) in a transmission system will reduce the voltage on local bus bars. Typically, especially for industrial facilities, there will be a large inductive component to the system loads, by installing shunt capacitors in close proximity to these loads the inductive component is effectively cancelled out, allowing the transmission lines to carry greater real power.[Once the capacitors are charged the reactive power demand of the inductive load is fulfilled by the charge/discharge cycle of the capacitors rather than by long-distance transmission of reactive power].

Who invented the series and parallel combination of cells?

Five capacitor replacement rules?

To replace a capacitoræyou must make sure that the replacement capacitors voltageæis equal or greater than the original, the microfarad (or strength rating)æis +/- 10 % of the original runæcapacitor, the microfarad of theæstart capacitor is +/- 20% of the original, for capacitors that are wired in parallell the microfarad must be equal to the sum of the individual capacitors, for capacitors that are wired in series the microfaradæis equal the reciprocal of the sum of the reciprocals of the individual capacitors.

What happens if capacitance of circuit is more than resistance?

Resistance is a completely different quantity to capacitance, resistance being measured in ohms and capacitance in farads. So they are 'apples and oranges'. You should be asking, 'What happens if capacitive reactance (in ohms) is larger than resistance?'. And one answer would be that the phase angle will be greater than 45 degrees. There are other answers, too, but it depends what you want to know,

On what factors capacitance of a capacitor depends on?

The job of a capacitor is to store charge onto its plates. The amount of electrical charge that a capacitor can store on its plates is known as its Capacitance value and depends upon three main factors. The surface area, A of the two conductive plates which make up the capacitor, the larger the area the greater the capacitance. The distance, d between the two plates, the smaller the distance the greater the capacitance. The type of material which separates the two plates called the "dielectric", the higher the permittivity of the dielectric the greater the capacitance.

Why might a backbone require a protocol capable of greater bandwidth then the network segments connected to it?

Good luck

What is an importance of capacitance?

capacitor is a device to store charge .it is based on the concept that when the potential of the capacitor is decreased it can gain some more charge so Q = CV where V is potential and Q is the charge stored then C is the capacitance. capacitance is the ability of the capacitor to store charge. expression for capacitance is C=ɛA/d where ɛis permittivity and A is area of capacitor plates ,d is plate separation.

Why capacitance decrease with an increase in distance between plates?

This is because a capacitor works on the principal of electro-statics. The closer the plates are to each other, the greater the effect of the positive and negative ions attraction across the dielectric constant. The further the plates are from each other, the lesser the attraction hence lower capacitance. Larger plate area increases capacitance also. If you have ever taken apart an electrolytic capacitor, what you'll find is two thin strips of aluminum foil with a strip of paper between them that was soaked in the electrolytic acid. When you unroll the assembly (wearing gloves), you'll find that the plates are quite long. This makes up the surface area of the two plates, which is one of the factors that determines the capacitance.
