Answer Personally, I'd call him, ask him for 500 bucks to pay a lawyer, go find a lawyer, and if the bill goes over $500 tell the lawyer to send hubby the bill. The legal issues are too big and if he has half a brain cell he'll come up with the money. And if you have kids, don't let him go until he makes an agreement for current and/or back child support. The ball is in your court, sock it to him! Answer If there is no divorce on record for you, then he is a bigamist and has legal troubles (at least in the US). You may want to find someone to do a search to see if your husband obtained a divorce without your knowledge.
