Assuming you want curly hair... Apply your preferred curl-enhancing product. Attach the diffuser to your hair dryer, turned on to low. Instead of scrunching with your hands, let the diffuser physically do the 'scrunching' for you. Pile a section of hair into the diffuser, 'scrunch' it towards your scalp, and hold it there for 10-15 seconds. You likely want the air flow going up, angled away from your head. Repeat until hair is nearly dry. Resist hand scrunching. Let it finish trying on its own. Important: do not touch. Let it dry completely. The curls are setting and touching it now will disturb them.
You can't blow it completely straight but it will be quite straight with flicky bits. What I do is I blowdry my hair downwards an use a comb to help flatten it. I have quite curly/wavy hair and it does help
Volume! Ask your hairdresser to layer your hair so it's not all one length. Use volumizing shampoo/conditioners. Always blowdry your hair after showering, and blowdry your hair upsidedown.
There's no fixing hair once its damaged. You should cut off the damaged ends or the hair will split higher up the hair strands and just ruin all of your hair over time. You should use a thermal protecter if you going to blowdry/straighted your hair to help and stop that.
You do not need a diffuser to scrunch your hair. It does help tremendously but it is optional. Instead of a diffuser you can put your blow drier on low heat so that pieces don't go flying everywhere. Diffusers are highly recommended but this is a simple alternative that will save you money.

3 gallons of gel. What you do is put hairspray in your hair and blowdry it up straight. This holds very well and it is how it has been done for a long long time. You can also use a good holding gel and blowdry it up.
don't use the highest/hottest settinguse a diffuser or comb attachment
use a hair straightner instead of wasting your money on buying hair straighteners use your hairdryer. first wash your hair, then brush your hair to make sure that there are no knots and use a hairspray to spray on your hair[i would use tressemme]next blowdry your hair as usual and use a brush to comb down the hair then after you finished it your hair will look straight and it wont look puffy at all.
You can let it air dry or you can use a blow dryer. If you decide to, don't use the highest/hottest setting, use a comb attachment, or a diffuser.
Use a diffuser--it's an attachment for a hair dryer espacially designed for wavy/curly hair. You may want to put gel in first if you don't want your hair to get all frizzy.
There are several tricks a person can use to dry their hair and create lots of volume. The first thing to do is to get a round barrel brush, and a diffuser for the dryer. The diffuser will prevent frizz, while the round brush makes blowing hair out easier. Just blow dry hair upside down using the round brush and the diffuser. One's hair will be full and voluminous.
The best way to keep hair curly is to only comb it using one's fingers, and to use a diffuser if they blow dry their hair. Additionally, adding a curling cream while hair is wet will help significantly.
