I don't yet know the answer, however I'm due to undergo a radical RP on May 22nd, 2008. My doctor say, emphatically, "No strenuous exercise until at least 3 months!", while the Urologist says 2 months. I'm going to follow medical advice but I'm also going to push the medical people following the procedure - assuming no complications! Due to the lack of info on running post RP, I've been Googling running/exercise after c-section, as this is probably the next best thing.
After having open nephrectomy the soonest exercise can happen is at least six weeks post. The first week or so the pain will limited mobility. After the first week movement and activities will increase, however, exercise and hard work should not be done until at least six weeks.
That advice should come from your surgeon and nowhere else.

A prostatectomy is the surgical removal of a man's prostate and the diseased seminal vesticles, if the cancer has spread outside of the prostate; otherwise only the full prostrate will be removed.
A nerve sparing prostatecomy is a treatment for prostate cancer. A normal prostatecomy often takes a wide scale approach to the prostatectomy and so damages many of the nerves in the area. A nerve sparing prostatectomy aims to only remove and effect nerves that are affected.
