On the whole internet advertisement can be successful or a complete failure due to the following circumstances;
How it is being advertised: Annoying pop ups result in failure, subtle adverts inmbedded into a website on the side etc can help raise awareness about a product without you even realising it. Adverts through emails, you can be sent the latest information about what the company is now offereing etc. however they can also send "junk or spam" emails which are useless information.
On the whole I think that internet advertising is not very successful as many people are too focused on a particular task when using a computerto realise the product being advertised. This is also caused because people can choose wether to receive/view adverts on the computer whereas on T.V. and radio you are forced to listen to adverts.
