(Boxing the compass) somewhat to allow for (carnival exaggeration) it would appear she was 8 Ft Two (some sources give 8 Ft Three ) at the time of her death. Her coffin was custom made by the Cypress casket company. Even so, she was arranged with a slightly stooped-down posture. I have not seen photos of her body to back this up.One does not know what her last outfit was, possibly photos were taken of the Amazon"s wake or viewing. A woman of that size does not die every day! Quite possibly she was tha largest woman of modern times. She was considerably taller than Anna Swan, who died in l888. (Anna Swan, the Amazon, neat rhyme!)
