During the 1950s, we went from an industrial based society to a consumer based one. Since the world has become commercialized. Since television was also emerging as a major medium, the ideology of the top was transcended down to the consumers thus making the melting pot nation we were in into the ideological picture perfect white picket fence, 2.5 kids, dog nation we are now.
