How the dodo become extinct?

The dodo bird became extinct because it was adapted to an ecosystem that had few predators. When humans began development on their island (Mauritius), the birds were rapidly decimated by hunting and by new predators (dogs, rats). In less than 80 years, their entire population was gone.
