Earthquakes can destroy wildlife habitat through ground shaking, landslides, and liquefaction. These events can disrupt food sources, nesting sites, and water supplies, causing injury or death to wildlife. Additionally, earthquakes can alter the landscape, making it challenging for wildlife to migrate or adapt to new conditions.
When Pangaea broke up, species had to adapt to changing environments. Those species that could adapt, changed along with their habitats. Those that could not adapt died off.
The geography of the Philippines affects the weather and therefore affects its people. Its position gives it a wet and dry season and makes it prone to typhoons. It's also located in the Ring of Fire, an area known for volcanoes and earthquakes.
