Label wires and take them off from the soloniod, there should be two long bolts that bolt the whole assembly to the engine block , undo the bolts and starter and solonoid come out of bellhousing and off engine block. to install repeat steps backwords
Yeap direct bolt in.
No.
Yes, that should be a good fit.
That should be 87-95
Yes, I own a 94 and a 95 YJ the paint code is the same and because they are hard to tell apart aside from a tiny bit of sun fading.
Yes. The YJ Jeep Wranglers (square headlights) were made 87- 95 - there was no 96 as the TJ was introduced as an early model 1997 in the Spring. The windshields in all YJ from 87-95 are the same.
FIRST OFF A 2004 IS NOT A YJ. JEEP WRANGLERS THRU 87-95 ARE YJ MODELS IN 96 THEY TOOK A BREAK AND IN 97 THEY CAME OUT WITH THE TJ MODEL. SO YOUR 2004 SOFT TOP WILL NOT FIT A YJ.
No, there was a change in the body between YJ and TJ.
According to the factory manual for a YJ the toe-in is set at the following: 1/16 in or 1/16 out Cheers
YJ body type and all parts are interchangeable, 87 thru 95 are all YJ.
It should the YJ was from 87 thru 95
your 89 jeep, i assume, is a yj model. I too had a 1990 yj jeep wrangler. any yj model seat will fit, that's from 89 - 95. I have a few spare seats from yj's and even cj's (they'll fit too) lying around, YJ is 87-95 (direct bolt in) It will also take a CJ7 frame-the seatt risers (seat frames) are identical
