it is very easy to copy a DVD in the way.. simply connect the scart output from the DVD player to the scart input of the DVD recorder and select the record source.
Only thing is some DVD's are copy protected so this wont work.. an alternative if you have a PC and DVD burner is to download a free program such as DVD shirnk and back it up to the PC and the burn it to a DVD using software such as Nero or some free opensource CD / DVD authoring software

If you wish to transfer a video file from your Digital Video Recorder to a Disc, you must have a burner to do so.
