Go listen to the old school bands. Start experimenting with noise. Buy some instruments - even make some instruments. Mess around with percussion. Sample things and found sounds. Put together a band unless you plan on going solo and don't want to do live shows. Don't follow the "new school" trend of rock/metal + electronic that never died, because that's not really 'industrial'. All sound is music and all music is sound.
