The Marine Corps Reserves do the EXACT same thing as active duty Marines except they are reserves. Instead of going to work EVERYDAY, they go to work once a month. They are expected to do the exact same PFT as active and have the exact same expectations and requirments as active duty Marines. The only real difference is the name. Active and reserve. The age limits for the armed forces are as followed; Active army 42, Army Reserves 42, Army National Guard 35, Active Air Force 27, Air Force Reserve 34, Active Navy 34, Naval Reserves 39, Active Marines 28, Marine Corps Reserve 29, Active Duty Coast Guard 27, and Coast Guard Reserves 39.
