Easy way is to go to best buy get you a wiring harness that plugs into your factory harness.
Yes. Of course you can. I recommend going to Walmart of or any other store that sells car stereo do it yourself products and buy a wiring plug for that year of car. You match up the wires on one end of plug to factory wires under dash and then match up wires from back of CD player (stereo plug) to the wires on the other side of plug. Then connect the plugand insert player. The factory wires will not match up to the wires from stereo plug and can be confusing (because for example there are 5 factory wires that you will need to match to the 3 stereo plug wires just to get power to the deck) and this way you won't accidentally hook wrong wires up and possibly fry your deck or cause a short in the car's electrical system.
hook up the wires to the factory harness and listen you little heart out
the easiest way is to go to a local stereo store and buy a wire harness adapter kit. This will connect to the after-market deck wires and then plug into the factory harness plug. If you can't go that way go to www.the 12volt.com and search for the wire colors in their help section.
if your car has a factory amp you might have to mess around with the factory remote wire(this is what tells the amp to turn on) good luck
im no mechanic but that happened to me ,,i tuned it with after market wires/plugs and it didt help ,,,put ford factory wires and plugs no more problem
Yes they can be.
PLEASE HELP???.... PLEASE go herehttp://www.installdr.com/hope it helps
go to a place where they sell car stereos and ask for a wire harness for your van they only cost about 20 bucks and they pulg into your factory wire harness and the harness wires should be color matched to your stereo if it an after market stereo
take off the dash then you need to unscrew the CD player and pull out the wire. (make sure that you have the harness for the new CD player and for the car.) splice the old wires and reatach them with the new harness wires,(they should be color coded and matched) then plug the new car adapter harness into the harness for the CD player. After all that, plug your antenna adapter into the back of the CD player and then screw everything back in. Note that you might need the dash installation kit, because usually the CD players are smaller than the stock players. -Shocker
Buy the Metra wiring harness adapter for your year Kia. Plug in the adapter to the factory wiring harness. Use crimp connectors, solder, heat shrink, etc to connect the wires from the car CD player to the adapter. Make sure no bare copper wires are exposed. Simply match up the wire colors with the CD player and adapter. Save your factory radio. You can quicky unplug the aftermarket harness and CD player and plug your factory radio back in when you sell the car. DO NOT CUT THE FACTORY WIRING. The factory wiring color codes are vehicle specific. If you cut the wiring already then take the car to a professional car audio shop and pay for your mistake to be repaired properly. With premium sound system you have to bypass the factory amplifier and pretty much splice into the factory wires after the amplifier. A good place for questions is the www.clublexus.com forums or the www.lexusownersclub.com forums. Search the forums and your question has already been addressed. Myself i have a 1999 gs400.
The answer is yes, you have to splice the wires going into the rear base speaker and amp, you will also need a special madule to connect the rca cable to the amp, make sure you get a good signal from the rear speakers...
