If your dog is still peeing on the couch, then you have not trained him/her well enough yet.
the cat is leaving its scent
First, have your veterinarian screen your cat for any medical conditions. These can lead to your cat urinating in inappropriate places. Next, if you use a litter box, place it near the couch. You want to make it as easy as possible for the cat to choose the litter box. You can spray the couch with something lemon scented to discourage the cat from using it. If you think your cat is peeing on the couch because he or she is stressed by something outside the house, block access to these images (e.g. a dog in the yard.) Finally, if none of these things work, confine your cat to a clean area with a litter box, food, and water, until they have learned to use the litter box.
If your cat is outdoor, try teaching it to pee outisde when it needs to go. I have a bell for my cat that she reaches up and rings. If it is indoor, you should consider a litter box. If you already have one, try introducing it more and more. If the cat begins to pee on the couch, pick it up, and take it to the litter box. It will learn. Getting "fixed" doesn't help with peeing; it just stops it from becoming pregnant, or getting female cats pregnant. Hope this helps!
Whenever he poops on the couch take the poo and put it in his litter tray usually cats walk around a lot when they are about to wee or poo if you see him do this quickly pick him up and put him in the litter tray repeat this process for a week or two and hopefully your cat will soon realise where to poo.
Either it is sick or it is upset about something.
If your cat pees on the carpet instead of its literbox it is peeing for. Territory you need to get ur cat nuttered
Just keep pushing them away or squirt them with water. They will eventually learn that to stop.
put it outside
Kick it outside
Spray it in the face with water or spray deterrent on the rugs. If you haven't litter trained it yet, that's obviously the problem.
