Burn more calories than you eat. It's always that simple, but there are quite a few caveats to that advice. If you eat nothing, you loose muscle mass and end up gaining all of the weight right back because at the end of your diet you have no muscle mass to continue burning calories. After all, calories are burned by muscles and without muscle the calories are just converted to fat. The best way to drop the weight is to eat plenty of fruits, veggies and protein. Avoid the starches and fats in your diet, also drink plenty of water and avoid soda, alcohol, cheese, bread and anything with sugar listed as one of the first three ingredients. Read labels and keep the fat content down. Understand that sugar calories tend to cause an increase in insulin, which causes you to either burn the sugar as energy or store it as fat. Once the sugar is depleted, you feel hungry again and end up eating too much. Avoiding sugar gives you a much more steady blood sugar level and you won't get as hungry. Whatever you do it needs to be accompanied with exercise. Do SOMETHING that makes you sweat and get a little out of breath. Good exercises include running, cycling, Racquetball, hiking and I'm sure you can think of other activities. If you exercise for at least half an hour per day, and cut down on your calories, you SHALL loose weight. == == Keep in mind that starvation diets -- ones where you fast until you reach your goal weight -- almost always result in a rebound, where weight is put back on, even to the point of exceeding your previous pre-fast weight. This yo-yo effect -- alternately losing a regaining the weight -- is very stressful to the body and is, in the long run, bad for your health. Don't starve. Period, youll screw metabolism. Eat 5 to 6 small meals. Buy healthy choices. Cut out all bread, sugars, starches, trans fat. try drinking a gallon of water a day. If you cant drink that much buy crystal lite drinks the have 5 calories per 8oz. Or you can buy Tea to go. It has 0 calories, sugar, sodium, etc.. And it is very good. Thermogenic supplements can help suppress hunger. Cut out all caffeine if you plan taking fat burner with caffeine in it. If you cheat on diet you will not achieve your goal. For best results, do cardio exercise everyday. You will soon see results.
You don't necessarily have to wait one whole month in order to lose just 20 pounds. Eating right and following these simple steps can hopefully help you lose that weight in only a few weeks.
Eating Right: Eating right is the most vital part of weight loss, besides the exercise itself. If you don't eat right then workouts will be for nothing because you would just eat the calories right back on. Sticking to the Food Triangle can really help you out A LOT on knowing the amounts of intake of food your body is required or needs to maintain a healthy weight loss and a healthy body. Make sure you are eating breakfast EVERY morning! If you don't have time because of work or school etc. then quickly just grab a banana or something that is easily grabbed and eaten. Simple! At least your body will have something. Pack a healthy lunch, too for when your employee mysteriously brings in donuts for everyone, you will have a nice healthy lunch to chow down on! And watch your work members slowly gain the weight they don't need! Cook a healthy dinner with fruits or veggies on the sides and instead of coke, have some water instead! Water is just as good as gulping down a liter of soda! (Also, having some small snacks in between meals is helpful because then you're not as hungry when comes dinner time.)
Breakfast tips: Something that I eat mostly every morning is filling, healthy, great-tasting and low on calories is easy to make! It's no more than 300 calories and keeps you full till lunch time! How to make it? Simply grab a decent sized banana, peel the peels all the way off, cut the banana in half. Spread a little fat free peanut butter (caution: is not a very simple task to do and can get messy. But to prevent this, simply slide the peanut butter on and lift the butter knife!) Then, my favorite, is vanilla flavored Yoplait yogurt. Simply take a spoon and dab some of it onto the two banana slices. Then, sprinkle some granola and very little dark/Milk Chocolate for that extra flavor. And then you're done! Some milk on the side will make it just the most perfect breakfast, and wonderful tasting!
Lunch Tips: When your work members suggest going out to eat for lunch, don't say no just because you are scared of facing a menu with a variety of fat foods. Simply take your lunch with you inside the restaurant and if the restaurant doesn't allow that, just order a salad or if you order something a little further from your calorie budget, eat the healthy foods first, then go on to the more fattening foods because then you won't be as hungry to finish the fattening food. When packing a lunch, don't go overboard on foods. Simply make a sandwich with whole wheat bread, a fruit, maybe some crackers, a water bottle and a power bar or a granola bar. That is a very filling lunch, along with some snacks afterwards before dinner.
Dinner Tips: For dinner, sometimes you may be to tired to care about healthy cooking. But trust me, your body figure will thank you after spending the time to create a nice healthy meal. Off of The Biggest Loser, a healthy meal could be tenderized chicken with spices of your choosing that is grilled then place it atop of a green salad with shredded carrots. This is a very healthy meal and good and very filling! Eating out? Simple follow the lunch tip above about choosing from a menu!
Cardio exercise and weight training. Exercise is very importantt. If you eat a lot one night, make sure to exercise hard the next night or else the food will go right to your butt! :) Can't afford exercise equipment? Easy! Go outside and enjoy nature while working out. Find a mountain near you and run/hike up it! It can be a very good workout. Or, if it's a rainy day, run around your house, run up and down the stairs constantly, do sit ups, pushups, and everything between! Just make sure you have a water bottle at hand, you don't want to get dehydrated. And, make sure to stretch before and after each workout, a pulled muscle is something NOBODY wants when they are trying to lose weight. Don't starve yourself, either. If you workout hard, make sure you eat something healthy to fill in that loss of energy. If you don't, your body can go into shock and instead of losing weight, you will gain weight or maintain at the weight you are at currently. :) So, exercise, drink enough water and have a good meal after.
What excercise to do to lose 20 pounds in 30 days.
HI, I'M NOT AN EXPERT , BUT I ONCE LOST A LITTLE OVER 20LBS IN A MONTH. I DID ONLY EAT ONCE A DAY (IN THE EVENING) BUT DIDN'T LOSE MUCH THAT WAY. I THEN ADDED 2 MEAL REPLACEMENT SHAKES AND ONE MEAL IN THE EVENING, ALONG WITH WALKING 3-4 DAYS A WEEK. THE WEIGHT CAME QUICKLY.
If you want or need to lose 20 lbs. within a month, then you'll have to be very strict on your diet & what you eat & drink. I lost 24 lbs. within 2-4 months. You'll have to exercise 6-7 times a week and completely quit eating all junk foods, candies, candy bars, cakes, sodas, ice cream, etc. That's what I did. But, if you really want to get rid of the fat, then go full throttle on the exercising. And be on the exercising for at least 30 minutes. And when I said all junk foods, I mean all applies..... KitKat, Snickers, Twix, Lay's Potato Chips, Cheetos, Little Debbie's snack cakes, nutty buddy bars, honey buns, etc. I hope this helps. Good Luck!
Twenty pounds is too much weight to lose in one month. It would be unhealthy to lose that much weight so fast. The faster you take it off, the more likely it is that you'll put it all back on, and then some. Your skin would be all flabby and you would look worse than ever. Consult your doctor or a nutritionist about healthy ways to lose weight -- and keep it off.
losing so much weight in such a short time is really unhealthy; you should be aiming at 2~3 lbs max per week.
And to lose the weight, you'll need to do regular cardio exercises, especially ones that uses your legs (legs have lots of muscle compared to the rest of your body, and burns more calories than other parts).
Also, you'll need to watch what you eat, and keep an eye on the calories. Try to go for whole food (brown bread rather than white etc)
but if you MUST lose 20lbs in a month, Liposuction maybe an option? o.o
There is not a good way to do that. It will take longer than a month to lose that much weight and you have to diet and exercise.
Only with a personalized and professionally developed diet and workout plan. You must contact both a nutritionist and a personal trainer and work with them.

The only way to do that is to have liposuction done. Any other way is unhealthy. A healthy weight would be between 5-10 (At most) pounds a month. There is just no way to lose that much that fast. It is not natural for your body.
