How do you make Crochet flowers?
To crochet flowers, I have attached links. One link is for a video tutorial for crocheting flowers (this is just one type of flower you can crochet). The other link is for Crochet Pattern Central, a favorite site of mine, where I can find "zillions" of free crochet patterns.Of course, there are many places where you can find this information, but I thought I would start with these sites.

There are many books which you can buy from online stores like Amazon which will teach you how to crochet, in particular flowers. You could also look on YouTube for instructional vides on how to crochet a flower.
How do you put a backing on a croched item?
Trace or measure the size of your crochet piece, and cut a piece of fabric or felt. Hand sew it onto the back of your piece with a needle and sewing thread, being careful to hide your stitches within the crochet so it doesn't show on the right side. If your item is to be used flat, you could also use a glue gun and make dots of hot glue around the bottom of the piece, pressing lightly. To line a purse, cut two pieces of fabric the same size as the sides, but 1" deeper than the purse. Sew the sides and bottom of the fabric, right sides facing, and insert it into the purse, with the wrong side facing the purse. Fold back the top edge of the lining to the wrong side, checking the fit inside the purse, and sew a small overcast stitch around the top of the purse, catching the edge of the lining and only the inside of the crochet, so it doesn't show on the outside.
