it's just that Bowser is "evil" and wants to capture princess peach and take over the mushroom kingdom. Mario is good and wants to protect the princess and the mushroom kingdom.
Super Mario 64 is a classic tale of the Super Mario series: saving Princess Peach. Princess Peach invites Mario over to her castle for a cake she baked for him, but when Mario opens the door, Bowser informs him that he kidnapped Princess Peach, and imprisoned all of her servants using the power of the castle's 120 stars. Mario has to jump through paintings, which are the magic portals to other worlds in which Bowser's minions keep a close eye and guard on a single Power Star for each level in a painting. Bowser guards each level of the castle, and when Mario defeats Bowser the first two times, Bowser drops a key, giving Mario access to a whole other level to the castle. When you defeat Bowser the 3rd and last time, Princess Peach rewards Mario by baking that cake she promised him earlier in the game. However, Mario's task is not done yet, as the castle has not regained all of its powers back yet, because Bowser had imprisoned all of the Power Stars. In Summary: Mario must save Princess Peach from Bowser, and recover all 120 Power Stars needed to power the entire castle.

Use the sad/crying vibe, and then run into the ball over and over till it breaks the wall.
Mario is an Italian-American Plumber who lives in the Mushroom Kingdom and has to save Princess Toadstool (Peach) from Bowser (King Koopa) who wants to take over her kingdom.
He is not in love with Peach...he just wants to rule over the Mushroom people, so to do so, he must marry her... and stuff...
As noted in Paper Mario, Bowser kidnaps Peach because he is in love with her. It may also be because he wants to take over her kingdom, which was why he kidnapped her in the first game, but it seems to be more about love than power.
It's extremely doubtful that Nintendo would allow this to happen.
YES, how else would make him feel as if he had to constantly aduct peach? But he also wants to kill Mario to get rid of the the compatition. He's been noticing that peach has been showing much affection to peach when he rescues her. The answer is a defenet YES.
