The radio unit on a Hyundai Elantra is held in place by a mounting bracket found behind the center console. First remove the center console then remove the screws on the mounting bracket. The radio will be able to slide forward. Once pulled out remove the wire harness that plugs into the radio.
you could go to radio shack and get an installation kit for 96' elantra and it is self explanatory.

the fuses for the inside of the car is Dow under the dash just under the hood release bottom.
The radio on a 2007 Hyundai Tucson is positioned inside the center console. The console will need to be removed so the mounting screws for the radio bracket can be reached. Loosen the bracket screws to holding the radio and disconnect the wiring. Pull and remove the radio.
