well on how to route the spark plug wires, you just need to keep them away from the exhaust, and make sure to keep them away from any moving parts in the area. Zip ties work wonders on these, and just ensure that they are in their correct location for the corresponding cylinder.
there are 3 in the front and 3 in the back if its a 6cyl.

Broken spark plug wires will keep almost any car from starting.
remove 4 bolts on top of motor and the spark plugs are behind that.Doesnt use spark plug wires or distributor.change fuel filter, its behind the fuel tank.
The 99' Chevy Malibu is a sideways motor so the first front three will be easy. Just pull the wires and use a spark plug wrench to pull them. The back three are hardest. unbolt the distributor off of the engine to reach the back three. That is the thing where all of you spark plug wires are going into. You will have to be an octopus to get them so good luck.
The 1988 Chevy Cavalier spark plug wires are quite easy to remove. The spark plug wires simply pull off on each end. Put the new spark light wires on by pushing downward on each end.

If it is the 2.2 ecotec engine, it is located on the spark plug cover withe ecotec logo on it. It is a little square with wires and heat fins on it.
