The best way to get your male and female chihuahuas from marking their territory is to have them neutered.
He will eventually, my dog is six and he was neutered. Give it a couple of weeks.
Get him neutered
Yes. Spraying is a way of marking territory, and both male and female cats are very territorial. Except when a female is in heat, a male cat considers her no more than another intruder on his hunting grounds, and will spray to mark his turf.
Is he/she fixed it is simply marking it territory get it FIXED to stop this problem.
You can get the male dog neutered, this should stop him from urinating in the house as much as he did.
Have your dogs been fixed? A majority of dogs will display this behavior if they have not been neutered. I highly recommend it if there is not a reason to keep him intact.
I would say that your better off getting the male neutered first. It will stop behaviors like spraying.
technically they still can. however, after he has been neutered his desire or urge to spray goes way down. Typically neutering will help to stop the spraying. However, a cat that has been neutered before reaching sexual maturity (around six months old), it is very unlikely the cat will ever start spraying.
Cats "mark" their territory, especially where they smell other cats. For example, under a window inside where a stranger cat sleeps outside. They mark when they smell other males or stranger cats outside their clan. Cats can also urinate in the house if their litter box is not clean, or if they have a UTI.
I take it , the cat in question is a male, if so ,all he is doing is marking his territory. It may be your couch or your pants leg that you bought , but to him, it's his!!!!! Get him fixed, that will help alot!!! I know this is quite silly (answering my own question ) but my cat was in fact neutered at the time he was doing this. We were very worried because he started to urinate blood! He had cystitis which is what male cats can get. He's fine now, but I highly recommend taking your cat to the vet ; if he urinates all over the house when he is neutered, its possible he has cystitis.
yes it is extremely beneficial to neuter your male dog. he will settle down and stop marking and barking. it is actually one of the best things to do for a male dog
