Being sensitive to her needs is not being a wuss. It shows strength of character at a time when much is required of both of you. You also will need help and support from friends and family. That, also, is not being a wuss. I am sure there are times when your girlfriend needs you to be there and others when she does not, as do you. Remember this is to be a mutual undertaking, there are parts you can do and parts that you cannot. Mutual support and understanding on both sides is a requirement.
