Simon Cowell is someone famous
No
No, they are not related.
You prove kinship to a person by showing that you are related to them in some way. This may be done by displaying documents that show this, or by the testimony of people who know you and the person you are related to.
No unless this famous person actually gives it to you
No they are not related.
If your parents and other relatives are unable to tell you whether you are related to someone famous (and most of us are not related to someone famous), the only way for you to find out whether you are is to do the research. Find out as many of your ancestors as you can, figure out who their descendants are, who they married, etc., and then figure out if any of those people are famous. Unless you are very, very lucky, you will not find a listing on the internet of famous people you are related to - unless, perhaps, you yourself are famous.
prove- show someone that you can do it, or show someone somthing that they dont believe.
There are many reasons people might not believe you. The most common reason is likely to be that many people who are not related to famous people say they are. After hearing this one and that one say they are related to famous people when they aren't, it's easier to assume that the person is just joking, saying it to get attention or to feel important, or for whatever reasons. Another reason could be that the probabilities of someone being related to a famous person aren't very great. When someone says they are related to someone famous, the odds that they are making it up or joking are much, much greater than them being related to that person.
