Hi-lift hair lightener should only be used by professional hair colorist, but should you choose to experiment you can buy it at any place such as Sally's.
I would say bleach so that you can get your old color off first. If you just use the lightener first it will just make your hair a lighter color.
Cream developer alone will not lighten your black hair. You will need to use a bleach or lightener with the cream developer to lighten it.
Lemon juice won't do much for black hair. If you're interested in lightening it, you'll need to use hair bleach lightener.
The most effective way to remove hair dye to lighten hair is to use a hair lightener; bleach. If your hair is very damaged it is not recommended. Although a safer/ less effective alternative is to mix a hair lightener with shampoo and cover with a shower cap. You will be able to see the color lightened. Keep in mind there is no such thing as a color remover and once you use any kind of bleach you will want to get a hair treatment with keratin ( protein) in it to begin to reconstruct your hair, since it will be quite unhealthy afterward.
Use lightroom
Usually 30 volume peroxide is mixed with lightener for blonding purposes. Or for lifting 3 levels with color.
no bleach will kill all the col.our in your hair while the lighhtner pros use doesnt
Yes it is okay to add some conditioner to your developer. Everyone knows that lightener/bleach is bad for your hair and dries it out, but there are two kinds of lighteners/bleach, on the scalp and off the scalp. The on the scalp lightener already have some type of conditioning agents in it, not saying that it won't damage your hair but it is better if you use some high quality lightener and developer, as it conditions while it's lifts. You can also add some protein conditioner to your mixture you already have as it will be better for your hair and less damaging.
Yes, this lightener needs to be mixed with at least a 20 Volume developer.
yes it is a common occurrence with hair relaxers most often with colored hair it can be still colored darker after a relaxing but i would not use it as a hair lightener
To get a vibrant bright red depending on your natural hair color you will need to pre-lighten your hair first. Pre-lightening your hair is done by applying lightener to your hair. You will need some lightener, hydrogen peroxide and your desired red hair color. Once you have mixed just the lightener/bleach with the hydrogen peroxide you can apply it to your hair and let it set for about 5 minutes then shampoo your hair and apply the red over it, let it sit for about 30 minutes with or without heat and then shampoo and rinse. Hydrogen peroxide comes in different strengthens such as a 10, 20, 30 or 40 volume. A 10 will only lift your hair color just a little bit and make it lighter. A 20 will life your hair twice as much, 30 will lift it 3 times and 40 is the highest, it will make your hair very light. To achieve minimal lifting I would use a 10 or a 20 developer. Overall to get a bright color and if your hair is dark it will require your hair to be lighten first, if not you can find the brightest red temporary color for hair that is already light and just apply it directly to your hair, then shampoo or rinse and styled as desired.
Absolutely you can, I do all the time. But you may want to use 1 1/2 - 2 times the amount of dye because there are issues with the pores in each strand of hair. Hope this helps, Michaela Ginn
