Actually, volcanic mountains are formed like so.
They start out as cracks in the earth's surface called a volcanic vent, and when magma erupts out of the ground as lava flows, clouds as of and explosions of rock gather. Material falls back to Earth around the vent and piles up around it.

When a continental plate and an oceanic plate move toward each other and collide, the edge of the oceanic plate goes down into the part of the mantle which consists of molten rocks. At a depth of 125 to 160 km below the earth's surface, the heat is so great that the rock which goes down is partially melted. This partial melting of the rocks generates magma. The downgoing rocks also bring water. The other materials in the mantle interact with the water and also generate magma. Magma has a lower density than the surrounding rocks. The gas from the melting rock which mixes with the magma makes it rise. As magma rises, it melts its way through the surrounding rocks and form a large chamber where magma is stored until it finds its way out to the earth's surface.
Volcanic mountains are formed when converging plate ( plate tectonics) move away from each other, then magma erupts upwards and thus mountains are formed!
Folded Mountains are formed when diverging plate ( plate tectonics) come together instead of moving away, they don't bend when they connect which each other they make faults and this is how folded mountains are formed!
Subduction occurs when one plate goes underneath another plate which is called transform plate!........ :)
volcanoes arem made from converging or diverging plates in the earth
By volcanoes under the sea that get bigger and bigger - and become islands..
volcanic mountains form when molten rock erupts onto earth
A.by tension
B.by the eruption of melted rock
C.by the shear stress
D.by compression
Volcanic mountains are formed from layers of ash and/or lava flows piling up over many years.
All of them
Volcanic islands have black sand beaches whilst Limestone (coral) islands have white sand beaches.Volcanic islands have fertile soil and in Limestone islands' is not as fertile as Volcanic islands.Volcanic islands tend to be tall whilst Limestone tend to be flat.Volcanic islands have many sulphur springs whilst Limestone islands have little or no sulpher springs.Limestone islands are formed from 'Secretions'of the sea and Volcanic islands are formed from igneous rock and lava.THANK YOUHOPE YOU LEARNED FROM IT!
The American islands that are actually an underwater chain of volcanoes are the Hawaiian Islands. These islands were formed by volcanic activity from the Hawaiian-Emperor seamount chain. The islands of Hawaii, Maui, Oahu, Kauai, and others are all part of this volcanic chain.
Volcanic islands have a rich supply of minerals because when a volcano erupts it produces lava (magma) and that lava has lots of rocks and minerals in it.
Santorini volcano was formed by the conversion of the African plate and the Aegean Sea Plate. As subduction occurred, some magma burned to the surface and create volcanic islands called island arcs. Santorini is one of those volcanic islands.

The Hawaiian Islands were formed and are still being formed right now by volcanic activity.

Volcanic islands are formed by volcanoes and are therefore composed of volcanic rock.
By volcanoes under the sea that get bigger and bigger - and become islands..
The Galápagos Islands were formed by volcanic activity.
They were formed by volcanic activity about 750,000 year ago
