Actually, volcanic mountains are formed like so.
They start out as cracks in the earth's surface called a volcanic vent, and when magma erupts out of the ground as lava flows, clouds as of and explosions of rock gather. Material falls back to Earth around the vent and piles up around it.

When a continental plate and an oceanic plate move toward each other and collide, the edge of the oceanic plate goes down into the part of the mantle which consists of molten rocks. At a depth of 125 to 160 km below the earth's surface, the heat is so great that the rock which goes down is partially melted. This partial melting of the rocks generates magma. The downgoing rocks also bring water. The other materials in the mantle interact with the water and also generate magma. Magma has a lower density than the surrounding rocks. The gas from the melting rock which mixes with the magma makes it rise. As magma rises, it melts its way through the surrounding rocks and form a large chamber where magma is stored until it finds its way out to the earth's surface.

Volcanic mountains are formed when converging plate ( plate tectonics) move away from each other, then magma erupts upwards and thus mountains are formed!

Folded Mountains are formed when diverging plate ( plate tectonics) come together instead of moving away, they don't bend when they connect which each other they make faults and this is how folded mountains are formed!

Subduction occurs when one plate goes underneath another plate which is called transform plate!........ :)

Volcanic islands have black sand beaches whilst Limestone (coral) islands have white sand beaches.Volcanic islands have fertile soil and in Limestone islands' is not as fertile as Volcanic islands.Volcanic islands tend to be tall whilst Limestone tend to be flat.Volcanic islands have many sulphur springs whilst Limestone islands have little or no sulpher springs.Limestone islands are formed from 'Secretions'of the sea and Volcanic islands are formed from igneous rock and lava.THANK YOUHOPE YOU LEARNED FROM IT!
