Perhaps they do not know what the church is! My church meets every Sunday, including Christmas. Christmas was not practiced in the early church but was developed in and for the Roman Catholic Church.
Because they've developed their own traditions and customs over the years and that's just how they celebrate Christmas.

For around 100 years; Christmas was mentioned as a feast day in 394 AD in Constantinople. Christmas probably developed from pre-Christian feasts celebrating the day after winter Solstice (which is Dec 25) which were celebrated in Rome - and all over western Europe - long before Christ.

the answer is Band Aid with Do They Know It's Christmas time, they started the band to raise money for charity with loads of different singers involved, then more band aids developed about 3 have had numbers ones, but more modern singers everytime they release the song.
