It is thought that Claudius was poisoned by his wife, Agrippina the Younger.
Many sources accuse her of poisoning her brother, the Emperor Claudius.
Emperor Claudius married his niece Agrippina the Younger.
Nero did not kill Claudius. Suspicions that Claudius was murdered fell on his wife, Agrippina the Younger, Nero's mother. However, this appears to have been rumour and not all Roman writers agreed with it. Seneca the younger, the famous Roman philosopher, said that Claudius died of natural causes. Josephus, the Roman-Jewish historian, mentioned rumours that he was poisoned. There are even discrepancies in the sources as to where he died, with Suetonius saying that Claudius died in Rome and Tacitus saying that he died in Sinuessa (near Naples). There are also different versions of the alleged murder. In one Claudius recovered and was poisoned again. In another he died slowly, after long suffering. There are modern historians who doubt this allegation. Claudius may have simply died of illness or old age (he was 64 and life expectancy was lower in those days). Claudius had been seriously ill the year before. The alleged motivation was Agrippina's wish to have her son Nero succeed him.
Nero went to live at the court of the previous emperor, Claudius, when he was five. He was the son (from a previous marriage) of Agrippina the younger, who became the third wife of Claudius. All that is known about Nero's early life is that his mother maneuvered to make Nero the next emperor instead of Britannicus, the son of Claudius from his third marriage, who was younger than Nero. Agrippina persuaded Claudius to adopt Nero and set out to isolate Britannicus from his father and from the succession, to pave the way for Nero becoming the next emperor. Claudius then regretted having married Agrippina and adopted Nero. He started to favour Britannicus and to pave the way for him to succeed him. he then died suddenly. There were suspicions that Agrippina murdered him.

Emperor Claudius was not imprisoned. You must have got confused with Tiberius Claudius Narcissus. He was a freedman who was in the inner circle of the court of emperor Claudius. He was imprisoned and executed by Agrippina (the emperor's last wife) soon after the emperor's death. Ancient writer Tacitus said that Agrippina had him executed because he supported Britannicus (the son the emperor had with a previous wife) for the imperial succession against Nero (Agrippina's son) and plotted to bring Agrippina down and, though her her downfall, Nero.
Emperor Claudius. Claudius was Nero's great uncle, making Agrippina, Nero's mom, Claudius's niece. :D Good luck.

Agrippina Steklova's birth name is Agrippina Vladimirovna Steklova.
They were responsible for looking after the children and maintaining the household. Their other responsibilities depended on the position of their families. Farmers would work on the land, in cities they would help their craftsmen-husbands or work in stores. In higher circles, they would do their part in adding to the reputation and connections of the family. Since divorce was easy, many women in these classes were loyal to their own family first, before they were loyal to their husbands.
There is some dispute as to how Claudius died. There are two possible explanations for his death. The most likely was that his third wife, Agrippina, had poisioned him, so that, her son Nero, that Claudius adopted would take over Rome and she could rule Rome through him. The second explanation is that he died of old age. These two explanations have not been confirmed though. :-D
