Europe lost the bulk of the Jewish population when the Nazis killed 6 million plus of them. Some escaped, some survived the concentration camps and some lived in hiding places and survived. A large bulk of them immigrated to the USA and Israel. It is easy to understand why they would leave since the Allies leveled much of Europe and there really was nothing for them there anymore. The population of Jews has risen in Europe and Israel but the largest population of them live in the USA. So Europe lost on on having millions of wonderful peope. The Germans denied knowing about the concentration camps and genocide. One of the Germans still alive today said they did know and they lied about not knowing about it. Sad.
