battle field 1942 or something like that
freezing cold like my DDD
Yes, there is in fact a battle just like D-day. I assume you are refering to the D-day that took place at Normandy, but there was another exactly alike that took place at Iwo-Jima. Iwo Jima was an isolated island that was controlled by Japan. Everything was basically the same, althought I think the battle of Normandy took place before the battle of Iwo Jima. Although Normandy was a bigger, bloodier battle and is more known to people when you refer to D-day,and Iwo Jima was just as important to yet another win for the Allies during WW2. If you want to learn more about Iwo Jima, read the book "Flags of our fathers". It is pretty interesting and engaging.
Japan didn't have enough food supplies and other countries were giving it to them but they didn't like it so they started a war.
It is the original (and reverted) name of Iwo Jima island. Just like "jima," "tou" means "island."
you had to eat rats and mules and live in dark caves. all the while giant explosions were going on outside forming craters closer and closer to you. I image you'd be starving too.
You said soldier. From the Japanese flag angle it was entirely a Naval and Naval air force battle. Ground troops were not deployed or landed.
A Sailor, Marine, Airman, or Soldier that was killed in battle (or killed in action). It is a polite term like "he passed away" or "he met his maker" or "his number was up" or "he bought the farm", etc.
yes
Assuming that we're talking about a Wehrmacht soldier, his duties varied greatly depending on where he went. Wehrmacht troops were usually on the frontlines of battle, but were also stationed in cities and towns and concentration camps.
If you want to look like a modern soldier buy air-soft gear because it is an exact replica of the real stuff but with out being $300. What kind of soldier will be what makes it hard. If a U.S. soldier just buy some woodland camo pants and top and boots.
life as a soldier was scary. violent.
