How was black people treated in America in 1960s?
not very good at all
of course they are black, let them go to North America or elsewhere and see if they are treated as black or not. they have been living on that land since the 13th century and are proud black people. but who cares if they are black or not, they are the most peaceful and loving people on this planet, and it doesn't matter if they are black or white, they are human race.
Black people were not treated as well as the whites, the white people of that time did not have any respect for the black people at all, for example if u were on a bus with mix black and whites and there are no seats left for the white people then a black person would have to give up his seat for the white person.
very very poorly in America in the 1800's was probably the worst time for racism and the answer above, very very poorly, is correct. Nobody had the right to do anything if they were black and lived in America at that period of time. If a white person wanted a seat and there were no seats on a bus then a black person would have to give up there seat.
