Elvis Presleys' IS worthy of admiration on many levels.

Elvis grew up dirt poor and worked hard and became the greatest entertainer who ever lived.

Elvis gave millions to his loved ones, friends, charities, and total strangers...publicly and privately.

Elvis broke barriers of color, music genre, and had respect/friendship (for decades) for people/artists of all races and nationality.

Elvis, at the height of his fame, was drafted into the US Army and rejected (as 99.9% of every other celebrity did) being a "military entertainer". Elvis went through all of the trials, training, and tribulations of every other member of the US Army and received an honorable discharge.

Elvis supported countless friends, and relatives, over a period of decades.

Elvis sacrificed his own health to perform before his fans over a period (which will never be equalled in the number of shows and every show was SOLD OUT) of 8 years from 1969 through 1977.

Elvis respected all Religions and was an avid reader of spiritual/religious books.

Elvis always acknowledged that God had blessed him and questioned "why" God chose him.

Elvis is the most successful Gospel recording artist, and received 3 GRAMMY Awards, in history.

Elvis was a wholly unique person and had his faults. Many of his faults, and shortcomings, were made public during his life and afterward.
