By utilizing the assembly line for production where each worker did one thing and one thing only. As the workers got better at their jobs, and the assembly line got faster the less it cost to make each car. He also cut costs by different methods he used. He even use the wooden crates he got parts from other manufactures in to make parts for the Model T. The Firewall and floor were made of wood that came from these crates. This made those parts cost Ford nothing.

Why did Henry ford invent the model t?

Henry Ford wanted to design a popular car to meet public demand. On his third attempt at selling cars, he was able to sell a large number. The Model A (1903) and Model C (1904) were highly successful, but at $750 or more, they were still a luxury unaffordable by most families. The Model T (1908) was the first mass-production vehicle, selling more than 16 million in 19 years. By adopting assembly line techniques, Model T's could be assembled in as little as 93 minutes. By the 1920's, their retail price averaged less than $400, making them affordable to the middle class.
