Answer
The Bible is a collection of 66 books that were written over a period of more than 1500 years. More than 40 different people wrote the various books of the Bible, and originally, the books werewritten on scrolls.

The Bible is a collection of longer and shorter writings without any apparent organization except for the main division into two parts, the Old and the New Testament. The Old Testament takes up about three fourths of the Bible, the New Testament about one fourth. The book of Psalms is approximately in the middle of the Bible. The Old testament was written before the time of Christ and mostly in Hebrew. The New Testament tells the story of Jesus and contains writings from His early followers. There are three groups of books in each Testament.

Each Testament begins with a group of historical books and ends with prophetic books. Between the historical and prophetic books are poetic books and letters or epistles.

The 66 books that are include in the Bible are called the canon of the Bible and are therefore called the canonical books. The canonical books are those that have been formally accepted by the church as part of the inspired word of God.

Most Protestant Bibles contain only 66 canonical books, but some Protestant Bibles as well as Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Bibles also include books that are not apart of the canon but are considered good to read. These are the Apocrypha or apocryphal books ( from a Greek word meaning obscure, secret ).

It's likely that the old Testament canon achieved its final form in the centuries immediately before Christ. In A.D. 397, the Council of Carthage formally established the new Testament canon by ratifying the books of the New Testament as we know them.

What is the sign language for bible?

For Bible, you put the two words, "Jesus" and "book" together. Jesus: One middle finger is to touch the palm of the other hand. This is repeated by the other middle finger to the opposite palm. This represents when Jesus was nailed to the cross. Book: Put your hands together with your fingers flat, looking like a closed book. Pull apart your thumbs, pointer finger, etc, making it look like you're opening your book (your hands). Put the two signs together and you make "Bible"

'where in the scripture it says carry the Bible to church'?

I do not remember any place in the bible where it says to carry your bible to church. This is because when the scriptures were written, there was no bible per-say. The bible as we know it, was not put together until much later. That being said, it is always good to bring your bible to church, to follow the individual giving the sermon, and to check out the accuracy of the teaching.
