The Big bang Theory got of to a start when Edwin Hubble observed that the Universe was expanding. It would only take a thought of logic to know that if the Universe was expanding, there must have been something that had triggered it of at the start.

A scientist and Roman Cathloic priest George Lemaitre proposed the idea of the universe being created from "a primeval atom," and when Edwin Hubble realised that the distances to far away galaxies were proportional to their redshifts, this discovery led to the understanding, as i have said above, that all aparent galaxies and galaxy clusters have an apparent direct velocity away from our vantage point, meaning that we are very unpopular from our eyes; the galaxies and clusters are flying away from us at an increased speed the further away from us they are.

Jesuit priest Georges LeMaitre, in 1927, first proposed the idea that the space within our Universe was expanding at every point, taking the galaxies along in this expansion. Albert Einstein adopted the exact opposite idea, that our Universe has been eternally static. Einstein's response to LeMaitre was, "Your math is correct, but your physics is abominable." When observational evidence later agreed completely with LeMaitre and against Einstein, the latter quickly adopted the former's ideas.

LeMaitre later added to his ideas with the concept that our Universe at one point had (his words), "a day without yesterday."

Big Bang Cosmology -- the idea that, over the last few billion years or so, our Universe has been expanding at a (more or less) constant rate -- was first proposed by Jesuit priest Georges LeMaitre. It was revised over the years, and vigorously propounded by scientists like George Gamow, who first noted that this cosmology would result in isotropic background of microwaves whose spectrum would resemble a black body of a few degrees Kelvin. When exactly such a background was discovered in 1964, Big Bang Cosmology became the dominant idea for our Universe -- a place it maintains to this day. Opponents from BBC now border on pseudo-science.

As we humans examine what should have happened in our Universe at earlier and earlier times, our understanding becomes more and more speculative -- we simply don't have the understanding of our Universe to even make testable predictions of what we should see. At a certain point, we have to say, "We don't know what happened prior to Time 'x'", just like we have to say, "We don't know why there is lightning in the sky. We know it's true -- the evidence is irrefutable -- but we can't explain it."

Georges Lemaitre proposed the idea of the Big Bang, "calling it the hypothesis of the primeval atom."

How is the big bang theory is an example od scienctific theory?

Hello i am minakshi answer is that the big bang theory is an example of old scientific theory as big bang theory explains that there was an explosion but the isotropy and the homogenity of the universe is not explained by big bang theory to explain his we connect inflatation theory with big bang theory to explain it so the big bang theory is also an example of old scientific theory.

The Big Bang Theory is a widly accepted theory in the scientific world because of the fact that it has less loopholes than others made to oppose it.I believe 1-2 loopholes are contained in The Big Bang Theory.
