International Competition, Walter Burley Griffin from Chicago won the competition for his design for a city of 30'000 designed around several axis' and circles. However his design can only be seen in the central areas (Inner North and South) because he was fired from the job, and Canberra has grown far larger than his original plan (closer to 400,000 today, meaning a lot more city not designed by him)
