All cultures have creation stories.
Personally I believe the creation account that is in The Bible. The Bible says God spoke the cosmos and all it contained into extistence.
Psalm 33:6,8,9 By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth............... Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. ..............For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
Nobody really knows for sure, but Christians have faith in God so they accept that what the Bible says is the truth.

∙ 9y agoThe Christian religion teaches that God made earth, while other religions say that their gods made the earth. The way the question was asked suggests you are ready for a scientific answer.
Scientists say that the earth was actually formed from an accretion disc circling around the sun, some 4.54 billion years ago. That accretion disc consisted of mainly heavy elements, thrown out by a supernova explosion within a few light years of our sun.
