AC Delco oil filters are among the top professional oil filters, although they have declined in quality in the last several years. They do "work" although they are regularly outperformed by their competitors according to consumer reports.

Any place that sells oil filters can tell you the correct one. I recommend AC/Delco, Purolator, Bosch, or Wix filters.
My advice would be to use an AC/Delco filter in your Chevy. AC/Delco makes one of the best filters you can buy. Other than that, Purolator or Wix make excellent filters.
Oil filters are made by various companies. Each company uses an exclusive part number for their filters. If you buy an AC Delco, you will need Part #PF13CL.
No FramDo not install a Fram filter. There are way better filters for about the same money. Purolator, AC/Delco, & Wix are excellent filters. On your Chevy van, I would install an AC/Delco filter.AC/DELCO Oil Filter Part No. PF1218 this fits the 5.0L,5.7L AND 6.5L Diesel for the 4.3L use PF52
You do not have to use OEM filters. You should however use a quality filter. Purolator, Wix, Bosch, AC/Delco, Motorcraft, Mopar, and all OEM filters are quality filters. Avoid cheap no name filters.
